Hi dont know if this os too late but i just got back from there and had a fantastic 11 days there ! its great I went with my husband and two kids one 4 and the other 14 and they had a fantastic time the staff are second to none, nothing is too much trouble there is entertainment on everynight both my children had a ball ! the rooms are basic but very clean the rooms are cleaned and towels changed regularly. the staff work all day and night and are always smiling! especially simon Mikey and ferdi ! we lost our pushchair at manchester airport and was really struggling the first day as my son was getting tired as it was very hot and mikey ( after a 14 hour shift ) went home and brought us a pushchair to use for the holiday he really helped us out ! The food is nice in the hotel too and very reasonable ! im gutted to be home and wish i was back there.... So in answer to your question i'd stay there without a doubt again we had a fantastci holday!

Hope this helps

His email addy is alkankadir38@hotmail.com it was £50 each way ! we got quoted £130 on transfers so we saved £30, it was kadirs dad who colected us he is a lovely man and stopped off to buy us all drinks. Hi there all. I'm new to staying in Marmaris and would like a little info about the area around the Golden Orange. It's near the Antique Palace on Adnan Menderes Cad.
I've read the reviews on this site and others and they are helpful but any extra info would be very much appreciated.
The info I would like is on nearby bars and restraunts and the usual stuff. Thank you in advance. John

Hi John the Golden Orange is near the Antique Palace further along the road, there are a good few bars and restraunts nearbye the red rose is good for steak meals and the royal oak , if you turn right as you come out of the golden Orange and walk about half a mile there are a fair amount of restraunts we highly recommend the chinese named the 2 dragons buffet eat as much as you want 12 lira and very tasty, also along the way is a Turkish grill house its fantastic cant miss it its on the left before you get to the main area and very classy , if you want to go into marmaris the bus stops outside the golden orange every 5 mins its the number 2 catch it coming back as well there are others but their routes are longer, most places sell full english breakfast for 99p, food at the simpsons bar which belongs to the golden orange is second to non the pasta meals are fantastic and cheap enough at 12 lira, drinks effes can be had for 3.50 a bottle imported drinks are dearer carlsberg 5 lira white wine most places buy one get one free 6 lira, if your wanting Jewellery the second Jewellers past the royal oak has some real bargains no hassle at all and he doesnt sell 9 carat gold as he says its rubbish lol .
Hope this helps have a great holiday we did .if you need anymore info just ask .

Toon,

If you are staying in the Golden Orange, there is a resturant right across the road called New York, you will have a good time in there they are so friendly and the food is brillint!

Thanks wgipk, any other recomendations would be appreciated!
One other thing, our daughter is in her late teens as is her friend, they will probably want it a bit livelier. Is there anything local or is Bar Street and along the sea front the best thing for them? We have booked two rooms so they can come in later than us oldies!

I would say the number 2 bus into Marmaris for the clubs .

Toon, for the younger girls I would say the beach front, the dolmus stops outside the front door of Golden orange, by the way you will have free internet access fron New york bar, they also have x-box and wii for customers, my hubby prefers to eat there as he has had no bother with tummy, they also cater for fussy eaters, and if you need any info on Marmaris while you are they will be very willing to help. Hope you enjoy your stay in Marmaris.

Thanks again, mickarick and Ann. I was looking forward to our trip but can't wait now, but ages to go. The free internet will be good as our family are never off the computers. Usually costs me a fortune for internet cafes.

Can anyone give me the e-mail address of the Golden Orange Apartments in Marmaris please ? Because of the large number in our party I need to contact the manager about multiple adjacent room requests.

PS..Does anyone know the room numbers that face the pool ?
