Just wondered if anyone has booked for nxt year Yet? (sidari)
Just pricing up for next july- (first choice)- and its actually cheaper to book, than it was 2 yrs ago. (Some other destinations eg benidorm- are coming out at ridiculous prices!- and corfu seems very cheap compared.)
eg: 2 weeks, middle july, 2 adults, one 16 yr old: £1,029!!!
I wonder why this is?
Belly!
yes I have booked for May 2010 for 2 weeks self catering £1300 2 adults & 2 children at the Sidari Waterpark, with Thomas Cook. I'm just worried now how much the self catering will cost us with 2 children!!!!! There is an option to go half board which is about 11 euro p/adult p/day and 4 euro p/child p/day which is what we probably will do for the first week anyway!!!
Where are you thinking of going?

Hi we went onto book for next year for the same to weeks in sadari (Anamona) as we were there this year. It is £400 dearer than this year. So dont think we will be going back
A meal for the 3 of us with drinks cost around 30E roughly, and a fry up for brekkie about 15E. So we always budget about 100E for food and drinks (excluding any trips)
I've just booked - for above dates and price- staying at angelinas apartments. Which are really nice- we called in there last year for a meal.

Hi Belly bally,
We stayed in Majorca this may and paid on average over £4 a pint of their beer luckily we stayed hb so I would say to anyone if its a good deal to upgrade go for it, with 3 kids it nearly broke us just on drinks and lunchtime snacks. We have booked for 2010 for end of July, 2 weeks AI at sidari and it was £3800 for 5 of us, sounds a lot but that is around £750ish each so very pleased with price for main season. It took some finding as a lot of the SC were coming out at really mad prices of £4000 plus and with the naff exchange and prices of food/drink it would have been better to go to Florida and do the whole disney trip............what is going on!
Hi, That's not a bad price AI for 5 of you I have been quoted by sidari waterpark just now that the cost per head half board is 11 euro for adults and 6 euro per head for children, so for a week it will cost us around £205 which I thought is quite reasonable.
Nia
Well that is very good and I would personally book the HB option, you will not be able to eat out for a week every night for £200. The first day we arrived it was midday and we were hungry so went to mcdonalds, we had 3 happy meals and 2 adult meal deals and it came to 26 euros so using this as an example unless you are going to eat mcdonalds each day and miss breakfast your HB option is a good deal.At least then it's one less expense to think about. Everyone on our plane home made the same comments about how much money they had spent on just food and drink. A round of drinks for us with 3 cokes for the kids and 2 pints of larger came to 16 Euros and when we came home we went to our local carvery pub and the same round cost £8.50. We got 1.08 Euro to the pound so nearly double for our round over there then back home. Not just majorca from what I have been told from others...................so yes def book it and save yourself lots of Euro's x
Hi andy- have you tried olympic holidays? My friend has just booked the last two weeks in july £675 for the 2 of them, including meals and an extra 5kg of baggage!
Hi bellybally. We like to go to the Anamona apartments but unfortunate it is run by Cosmos. They not only put the price up they are not doing any flights from Scotland. But thanks anyway for the reply. Cheers Andy
dont know if they can tie you up with a flight but its showing available from sunshine holidays

Hi thanks for the site. Had a good look at the site. For all it is coming up saying the Anamona is available it is not on the list after you pick the flight you want. But thanks anyway. Cheers Andy
Just booked up today, a fortnight in Sidari through First Choice, on August 20th 2010. Booked a 2 bedroom apartment at Angelina's for £1800 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Some seriously cheap deals going at the moment.
Paul- That is where we have booked 9-23rd july- At angelinas! 2 adults 1 kid (16). £1.024!
Great price for a good place. Let me know how it was when you get back, cos you'll be back before I go!
Will do! We stayed at olgas apartments- year before last- just over the road from angelinas- they were very basic- and we use to walk past angelinas- (and even popped in for a meal)- and they did look nice- they had some sort of entertainment on every night (unlike olgas)!. Our friends said the studios/apartments were quite large too- (compared to others they had stayed at in corfu)
Don't know how you guys get these deals?? flying from birmingham for the same holiday next year with first choice to the Angelinas will cost us £2697 and the only differance is a extra person. Perhaps its all down to airport and extra adult along with supplements. Would have booked sc if I could have found something nearer the 2K mark
I paid £1300 s/c at Sidari Waterpark through Thomas Cook for 4 of us, it has excellent reviews.

It could be down to the airport, the time of year or both. Obviously the cheapest deals by far are outside the 6 weeks summer holidays.
For our holiday, we are flying from Leeds/Bradford, and it is substantially cheaper than flying from Newcastle which we are nearer to. Also if we were booking say end of July/ early August it would have cost a bit more as well. So we saved by going as late as possible but within the 6 week holidays and flying from a slightly more inconvenient airport.
Obviously, we got a free child place so it was 600pp for the other 3, so if you have an extra person its an extra 600 quid.
Great thread...we have booked 24th May 1 week 2 adults to stay at the Paradise Appartments in Sidari that was £460 for both of us S/C hope not to spend a fortune eating out as we are going to Crete for 2 weeks in September!!!
