If anyone is travelling to the region in the coming weeks, let me tell you that you could do a lot worse than hiring a car from Avis (via Air Miles).
I was shopping around for an airport transfer from Almeria to Vera Beach and the best price I had was GBP 156.
After weeks shopping around for car hire, and quoted a best price of £230, I received a mail message from Air Miles and thought I'd spend some of my accrued miles on Car Hire.
I have now managed to hire a Seat Leon 1.9 for 6 days for a mere £138.60 and receive 25 miles to boot!
I've read the small print several times over - especially as Avis charge £387 for the same car for the same period on their own site.
I hope that anyone reading this benefits like I have.
Thanks will try that next time I have a place in Berja, Almeria and rent cars very often. I was horrified to see the cost of car Hire during my last visits.
I am back now but thought I ought to add that we arrived and were pleased to be greeted with the fact that we were allocated a B Class Merc for the quoted price!
