Hi - We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (11 and 7) looking to go to Olu deniz next June for 2 weeks. Can anyone recommend any hotels/apartments suitable for families? A good pool is essential. Not really worried about whether AI, HB or SC. Is it fairly cheap to eat out and buy food in supermarkets? We found Majorca fairly expensive over the last couple of years so normally go HB. I have looked at Lykia world but I think it works out a little pricey for us.
If anyone can give me any ideas to check out that would be great!
Thanks
other hotels that are good are belcekiz beach , olu deniz resort and sun city these are all inclusives
check out the hotel reviews on here for sc
Hi, if you prefer to go B&B you cant fault the Karbel - they have now bought the white hotel next door and have 2 good size pools, lovely grounds and nice rooms with big bathrooms and small balconies just enough to sit out on, nice quiet location less than 5 mins walk to the beach. Brill staff and friendly atmosphere very family friendly - we were a couple and stayed there 3 years ago would definately go back again one of the best holidays we have had.
going self catering can work out cheap if you budget your holiday right food is reasonable but alchol is pricey but all fresh food is cheap but a package deal sounds like it would be best
If you find an apartment in Olu Deniz let me know, we have always had to stay in hotels, only apartments seem to be in Hisaronu and we like to be down in Olu Deniz
Lashman.
Just returned from there and it's lovely with 2 pools to choose from and excellent clean & friendly atmosphere within 2 mins walk to the town.
This was our 2nd visit.
thanks for that SNAPPER saved me a job
Thanks for all your suggestions! I have more of an idea of whats about now! Like the look of belcekiz beach but it looks a little expensive for us (over £4k). Still undecided about hotel or apartments - we are used to apartments with a small kitchen in which is handy for the early morning cup of coffee and for snacks for the fussy eater in the family!! so think we may miss having that! Just wondering when websites will show prices just for accomodation, as at the moment it just seems to be package holidays available?
Another very good hotel in olu you might like to look at is the Asena beach on a B+B basis . They also do HB which you can upgrade to.
The Belcekiz is a wonderful AI hotel. Unfortunately as it is exclusive to Thomson/portland in the TO market there isnt a lot of competition on price . Had another look at next years price for my family last night and it is now a whopping £5900 for the 5 of us End July . Totally stupid price . .you may be able to do it cheaper DIY direct with them now or maybe accomodation only with Thomson. when I had a price to do that a couple of years ago the price for accomodation only direct was as much as the whole package with flights I had from Portland ( £3700 ). Now that the package price is so high it may be worth checking again .

This is a allinclusive apart-hotel, they have a great water slide for the kids, the staff a great and hard working. its lovely and clean, rooms a little on the small side, with a small balcony but i think most in olu deniz are the same. The food is good but can get a bit boring over two weeks, buffet style, they have barbeques on most evenings. we went this year for about £1700 for two adults and one child, i think they also to free child places.
Please take a look they are in a lovely postion in the resort ,and away from any noise on the strip.
all the best jim.
Snapper, thanks for the apartment details unfortunatley think we will have to stick to our usual Majestik hotel, three weeks at £50.00 a night is a bit much for us but they do look lovely

there is also the oyster residence which is quite nice
why not book a nice private appartment may be just out side olu. take a look at holiday lettings thats where we got ours from 250 per week plus flights
prices vary quite alot so check what you are getting for your money i.e transfers oneway or return and costs of air conditioning and if it is included or as an extra
Thanks for everyones help. Think I have decided on the Orka villas in Ocavik. They seem to give us all the options we are after and we can use the facilities of the Orka Hotel too. I believe its easy to get to Olu Deniz from Ovacik?
