Popped into the C'an Xavi bar on the corner of Calle de Arraval in Mahon and had a couple of T-bone steaks the size of a man's head, with fries, peppers and salad for 15 euros between four of us. We stayed and had six rounds of drinks, a plate of snails and some ham and cheese - all for 55 euros.
It's a great little locals bar, full to the brim in the early eveing with homecoming workers, with an, er, "enthusiatic" chef/barman.
After falling out of there we walked down the road to Cristanal Y Gradinata on Carre Isabel II for a nightcap of the best Pomadas on the island. This is a lovely little bar with an old forties feel to it, jazz on the sound system, and a very friendly and entertaining host.
