coach is about 1 1/2 hours, taxi costs about 60euros agree the price first though

prices are not too bad, more expensive that kos but we still love it!!

I hate to post this but have just returned from our holiday in Crete - a week at the Annabelle near to Heraklion and a week on the Ocean Village ------

Day one ---------- 15 minutes in to the holiday on the beach got stung by a large 'insect' ! Have never been stung before ---- by anything ------ well apart from bites from cat fleas ! Am pretty sure it was a large wasp --- saw loads after ---

Freaked me out but to be honest we made good use of the Sting Ease we had and used antiseptic wipes on the sting area. Luckily had been taking tablets for prickly heat so it reduced any reaction. Must admit the sting was big and it took ages to get it all out as it was quite deep ------------ just used common sense though and used Savlon and plasters to good effect and the 'hay fever tablets' -- just think large splinter !!!

I know that this doesnt sound like good news but to be honest looking back I can't see what the fuss is about now ------ stings are no fun but if you 'go prepared' with a good first aid 'stock' just incase of injury (!) you will be fine!

I have learned a good lesson -------------------- use the insect repellant all day and DON'T go to a hotel that has bright yellow pool or beach towels ------------------------------------------

AND ------------------- get that honey for hubby ----------- or the mother in law !!!!!!!!

dont worry, i will run away !!!! and i will use boot sun cream with insect repellant and my jungle formula wasp away !!!

i still cant wait ..... 2 weeks today
