Albir we found to be a very relaxing holiday, and we will most certainly return. The Kaktus hotel is right on the front and very much on the flat. The only let down in our opinion was the food. I would stay here again but on room only or B&B . It has entertainment most evenings and usually dancing , but this may well depend on your age group regarding suitability. There are many restaurants around the hotel area and bars. In the centre of Albir there is a kind of village green which is used for cricket and golf. Outside of the hotel entertainment is limited, but you are not far from Benidorm and you can go by bus from the street behind the hotel. The bus however is the slow option a taxi is much quicker but costs a fair bit more. We bussed into Benidorm and a late taxi back. Altea is just next to Albir and can be walked or bussed but although worth a visit we found the best of it was up a very steep hill.
There were no rowdies or late night noise . The beach incidently is pebbles .
There are many other hotels and apartments in Albir , the Kaktus being the best situated in our opinion. They have a website, and if I remember correctly we booked with travel republic as we could find no major company apart from Saga booking the hotel. This was a couple of years ago. Hope this helps.
