How are you transferring Angela? The train takes about 2.5 hours from Tunis to Monastir, Med Hotels estimate their transfer time to be about 2 hours to Sousse but it has never taken more than about 1.5 hours

If you have no transfer organised I think it might be simpler and cheaper for you to book it with Med Hotels. I've used them from Tunis to Sousse and am doing the same again in September. If they don't go to your particular hotel simply book to the nearest then either walk round the corner, get another taxi or preferably tell your driver where you want to go and offer him a tip to take you there.

I was asked if I wanted transfer and payed for it, I just never thought to say the words "how long is the transfer time"

There is no reason to feel silly as it's a reasonable question. They might not be able to give you an exact answer however as even after you and everyone else have gone through immigration and got your luggage it will depend on how many other hotels they have to drop people off at before they get to your one. It may be worth making sure you and your mum are 'comfortable' before getting on the bus/coach/whetever as you will be on it for over an hour.

Mmmmm, I was standing in the toilet at the urinal doing a, well you know, next second there she is beside me mopping around my feet and cleaning the urinal, just as well she didn't hold out her hand
The queue for passport control had seen her going in after me and were having a good old laugh when I made an embarrassed sharp exit
