I am going to Tunisia in June. My partner has told me that clothes and in particular men suits would be considerably cheaper in Tunis. From my experiance of eastern Europe clothes the same quality and brand as Britain and Ireland are the same price or sometimes even more expensive. Or if they are cheap they are really bad quality
Though he insists because wages are so low in Tunsia the prices of suits and quality clothing have to be cheaper or else very few people could afford them. Can anyone confirm if this is true? Some of my friends I met in France who were from north african countries had really nice dresses and styles. Does anyone know of any good shops in Tunis? Is it even worthwhile doing clothes shopping in Tunis?
He is probably correct there. I bought a pair of jeans from Next here in England and inside the label it says Made In Tunisia. Alot of our clothes sold here are made in Tunisia or Turkey but double the price. I bought back several pairs of trainers from Tunisia, alright they were probably copies but so good that no-one knew the difference. It all depends on what your looking for and what prices you expect to pay.
Thanks
