Well we have just returned from 2 weeks in Tuscany. I have to say that we saw some amazing things but Pisa was a big dissappointment. All told between parking the car and getting back into it was less than 45 minutes. Yes the buildings are spectacular but the crass commercialism and tacky touristy stuff made it feel like Benedorm in marble! We had spent the middle of the day up the road in Lucca, a much more enjoyable and unspoilt place in our opinion.

We are now looking at tryiing to get a short break in Florence as the day we spent there was not enough, unfortunatly we live in a desert where getting flights to anywhere is concerned (Birmingham) and the prices being quoted even for the Winter are too ridiculous to even contemplete.
