Stayed in lovely villa with pool this year not actually in the village of Frigiliana - but postal address was - but in foothills that were between Frigiliana and Nerja. It was beautiful and an ideal location as whilst peaceful during the day, we could be down in Nerja with all the restaurants etc in about 15 mins every evening, or up in Frigiliana in 5 mins, once we left the mountain road.
I suppose my question is to any that have been to both areas, is Mijas similar ? Could I get a villa with pool in a quiet scenic area, but easy access to somewhere with character and a bit of life to it (teens) for the evenings ?
Location seems to be all when booking villas.

Mijas is a lovely village but within easy reach of the coast. It gets busy during the day but is very quiet at night time. There are some villas around and on the approach to the village but dont know about any rental terms. Ive only been to Frigliana the once but it seemed quiter than Mijas with less to do.
