Hi,

A2B Transfers are generally one of the more reliable suppliers and to be honest we use them almost everyday with no trouble. They always seem very switched on and i think they are quite choosy with the local agents they use.
I have used them personally myself and i couldn't fault them one bit, plus they are very good on price.

On the transfer voucher, there should be specific joining instructions as to who you need to meet on arrival or which desk you need to go to. Please make sure that you take 2 copies of this so that you have a copy for yourself for the return transfer and make sure that you read it carefully so that you know exactly what you are to do when you clear through arrivals as 99% of complaints that we see regarding transfers is whereby people do not read the voucher correctly or forget to take it with them.

You should have no problems with these guys, they are a good company in my eyes and are a pleasure to deal with, always very accommodating.

Enjoy turkey, i am sure you will love it.

Thanks

Thank you leisurelad, I've had a few negative comments in the past few days about this company, but your post has reassured me, and also thank you for advising me to take copies of my voucher I never thought of doing that, but will do it now while I am at the computer. Once again many thanks

Hi, does anyone know how long the transfer is from Dalaman to Julian Forrest, Icmeler? We are going there this friday the 25th sep,

It's a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question in a way. Depends a great deal on whether you're going with a tour operator or private transfer. We always go by private transfer and you're talking about an hour-and-a-quarter to an hour-and-a half. With a tour operator's transfer, you always have around half an hour or so for a "comfort stop" and then it all depends on how many other passengers you've got to drop off first (eg in Marmaris), so you could be looking at anything over two hours and even up to three! I think some tour operators warn that their transfers can be around two-and-three-quarter hours.

We used private transfer this time and its well worth the money :) took one hour and ten mins to Apartments, same back to airport where we were first to check in with no one else to be seen lol, air condtion in car and water supplied by company as well cost £80, 40 each way and worth every penny .

We will not be naming the company concerned. if you want to know, p.m us

We decided that a private transfer would be nicer than a coach. After checking the various options on t'internet we made our choice.

our flight was 90mins late, and our driver was still there. Once we got to marmaris, the driver wrote down the pickup time and date and we duly paid 80pounds as requested.

After a week of sun, sea and efes beer, the time arrived to be picked up.
or so we thought

Our pickup time came and went. We gave them 20mins. In the end we had to call them.
After 3 frantic calls, we finally got an answer why they were late. they had forgotten us!!!!. What we had to do, is get to the airport by taxi, phone another number and their rep there would pay the driver!.
From what we heard, this is not the first time this has happened either, and other drivers had difficulty getting their money from this company.

We were lucky our flight was delayed as we would not have made it. The moral of the story? if you can, pay each way and not all at once.

We've just got back from Gumbet and I booked our transfers through Bodrum Transfers as per many recommendations here and on the net. The company who they sub-contracted to were called Karia Travel Services.

The service on arrival was excellent, we were met promptly and transferred in a lovely clean, new car. The driver was very talkative & pretty friendly. Once at our hotel I paid the £48 total cost as agreed.

The same driver arrived somewhat early to pick us up for the return, but no hassle or being rushed at all by him, he stated they always arrive early "just in case" which is fair enough......but we later realised why he wanted us to go sooner !

He spent the whole return trip on his mobile and when we arrived at Bodrum Airport in the drop off zone, he jumped from the mini van and just disappeared into thin air....nothing said at all. After waiting a while we decided to get out and heave our own cases from the high shelf in the mini van and get in he queue for getting them scanned. The driver suddenly appeared without a bye or leave as the Police were trying to move him on, he closed the doors and just drove off without a word. It would seem he had a pick up and was trying to find them......as we hadn't left immediately he was late for them :que

All very at odds with the service on the 1st trip, I'm not sure we'd use them again.

Hi all! i have already booked my transfers with low cost hols its a shuttle bus, we are a family of 5 landing at 4.30pm (14th June) but my friend said upgrade my transfers to a private taxi as along with all the waiting time and drop offs we wont get to hotel till after 6pm!
Anyone else done the same or know what the shuttle bus transfers are like?
Thanks! :tup

If you are landing at 4.30pm, you won't be out of the airport before 5pm, you could then be waiting for another half an hour for the rest of the passengers for the bus, The bus will then take 1.5-2 hours to get to the resort and depending on your drop off it could be another hour so anticpiate arriving at your hotel between 7pm and 8.30pm

Last year private minibus organised by our hotel, landed at 17:20 and we were having our first drink at the bar by 19:15.

Another example in 2007 friends on our flight were collected from our hotel at 10:00pm by Thomas Cook bus (1st pickup), we left at 1am in a private minibus and beat them to the airport by 15 minutes as they did the half hour journey stop (Toilets) and had loads of hotels to collect from.

I took the shuttle bus last year from Dalaman to marmaris. The buses are usually small mini busses and hold around 16 people. The transfer time was around 1.5 hours with no stop for toilet break. Some drivers will offer the option of stopping.

From when you land you have to go to Visa control to pay your £10 then passport control then collect your luggage which will take at least 30/45 minutes.

A private taxi will cost around £60 one way and may get you there 20/30 minutes quicker, in my opinion not really worth the extra money. Shuttle transfers are around £15 each return
