However, according to the airport's website, the scheduled flight connection to Bratislava, Bologna and Basel are operated by airline company Danube Wings.
So I think you'd have to do a hop from the UK to one of these airports and then fly on with Danube Wings.
I live near to Basel and they are served by Easyjet from London Gatwick twice daily and an on an irregular basis (I think Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) from Stansted with Ryanair.
Other flights are with Swiss - from London Heathrow, London City and Manchester (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), and British Airways from London Heathrow.
Hope that helps - you could possibly hop to Bratislava or Bologna with low cost airlines from the UK but I don't know who goes where ... except for Basel!
I was looking at Zakopane, and Poprad Tatry was coming up as being the closest airport. I think it'll probably be a lot cheaper to go Easy Jet Bristol to Krakow. It's then a 2hr journey on a bus. What's putting me off is that for the return flight we'll have to leave the hotel just before 7 in the morning, & I don't know what time the buses would start running. Thanks for taking the time to find the info for me.
