Morning all, right not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but if not please can the MODS / ADMINS either transfer it to it's correct place, or even duplicate it in to as many forums as poss for me as I really need advice and best answers on this ASAP.
The quack at our local hospital thinks that I may of either torn or split the cartlidge in my right knee, if so then it seems that keyhole surgery is the answer to fix it, we have got a few hols coming up that we do not want to miss, so does any know how long after this kind of surgery can one fly ?, all answers, experiences, and advice welcome as I need to build up as much info as poss for when I next see the surgeon.
Many thanks
Sliema2
Not sure about the "after" - but if you are travelling BEFORE scheduled or planned surgery, don't forget to advise your travel insurer!!!
I had that operation on a Monday and flew to Barcelona on the Wednesday and walked several miles (with pain killers) before flying back on the Wednesday night. So I dont think its a problem unless long haul within a couple of days of the opreation then I would ask advice. DVT and all that may come into play. Bit more information I had the operation under a general anaesthetic and the surgeon knew about the trip to Barcelona hence the pain killers
