For me :
1 a consistant yellow ball in the sky
2 pretty resort with lots for kids to do
3 lovely 2 bed apartment with all mod cons and pool
4 great local restraunts and bars
5 first flight going out and midday flight coming back
Perfect !!!
Please don't think I am against any nationality, I just don't like being in a hotel with the majority of guests .
comming from the same country. As I live in Germany I once booked a package tour to Tenerife, the hotel had 90% German guests, I had tried hard to learn some spanish phrases, but did the staff want to know , they expected me to use german, and wern't interested in helping me with the spanish.
Now I always make certain that where I stay has mixed nationalities. sorry mods for being
xx lassi

small/medium low rise self catering accommodation
nice pool with sunbeds
good eateries
not in the centre of resort
- like it to be hot (although never tried colder holidays)
Pricing - budget probaably sits high on the list

near/on the beach - although I like the pool too - I Lurve the ocean
local area
2. Food readily available
3. Ouzo or Raki
4. Mythos or Efes
5. No return flights available until winter.
Good accommodation - pref 4/5 star
Interesting culturally with multi-centre possibilities.
Good local cuisine
value for money (not to be equated with cheap).
Those are just some of the criteria we apply for our main break - numerous others apply as well but I was only allowed five. Have different criteria for any summer breaks we take as these are cheapies (VFM usually applies here).

Decent low-rise apartment complex with private sunny balcony/patio
Hire car for seeing all the sights.

I'd have to add Metaxa to that list
1. have to be something for the children!
Price
I'd have to add Metaxa to that list
It'd have to be Asbach Úralt, Shirley - unless the Metaxa was 12*.
unless the Metaxa was 12
I'm not fussy, 5* suits me fine, in a tall glass over ice, topped with lemonade and drunk with a straw on a hot beach
A quality pop, available from Suncharm, Huddersfield. You'll never get a better mixer.
