Having just returned from this hotel I can hopefully give some advice -
If you are concerned about the size and condition of rooms, lack of customer service focus, having to pay extra for fridge and kettle (paying for A/C common in Turkey), and a light sleeper (being awoken by returning drunk brits and being kept awake until early hours by the bar music) - Don't go to Sonmez.

If on the other hand you want a cheap base with a fairly good pool, local to other facilities, right on the main road/dolmush route through to Fetiye, Hitharonu, Aludiniz (the map diagrams for this hotel are not correct) and you don't need your sleep at night, then this is the place for you.

As regards Mine Host, his approach appears from my personal experince to be that if you are a seasoned regular nothing is too much trouble, however if you are a newcomer requesting the services you paid for with expectations set from other "Hotels" you will have a battle. He told me I wouldnt be getting a fridge and kettle because "I did not book direct with him!". Suggest you don't eat or drink there for a few days and see if his attitude changes.

Tips - buy a plastic 4.5 Turkish Lire kettle and cheap cups from Azda in Hisaronu (walking distance) Take your own Coffee, tea and dried milk. Mini market over the road for everything else. Don't let Mine Host know and don't eat or drink your purchases by the pool or you will be Told Off like my wife. If your not paying for the fridge make sure you are not going to be charged for having it sitting in your room
Get Jimmy or Sue to explain the cleaning and Leaving Your Key in the pidgeon holes in the front restaurant bar arrangement. This way you will get your bins emptied and beds changed.
Do not book anything to your room / tab - pay at bar.
Rooms in the building nearest the main road are generally bigger than the tiny ones in the building nearer the bar, they are also further from the bar music but are closer to the mosque - First call to prayers 05:00hrs - and the roosters in adjacent plot.
Finally get out and about do a jeep safari - the Yesil Dalyan tour operator is one of the best and get on a boat trip from Fethiye the "Popeye" is recommended.
