I'm glad you enjoyed La Palma.I haven't as yet been to El Hiero or La Gomera but out of all the other canary island La Palma is my favourite. It's almost ten years since I visited and it was not long after the west side of the island had been devastated by fire and we saw acres of burnt forest as we drove around. I would love to return as I'm sure the vegetation has recovered by now and returned to it's lush green state.
Although a fair amount of hotels/villas and flats have been built over the last few years I'm sure the island will continue to remain mostly unspoiled and not attract mass tourism due to the lack of beaches.
