Can anyone tell me what train/rail holidays are like?
Most of the ones I have looked into involve travelling by rail to a city, booking into a hotel, staying overnight ( or for some days) and then taking another train journey and so on. All this seems to involve lugging luggage about a lot - are there some train holidays where you stay on the train all the time except for site seeing?
Take a look at trans-siberian.co.uk an unbelievable experience you won't forget.
I've only just stumbled on this, I normally don't look in this thread and clicked it by mistake.
