chriskim,

MAN-HRG-MAN (TOM772/3) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (winglets). Refer to our What Aircraft? guide for more details.

On another forum there are loads of complaints about the type of Aircraft being used for Cape Verde (Sal) what are the types used 767 or 757??? I understood it was 757-200 from ALL airports that serve this route??

Because the Cape Verde islands are sold from the "long haul" brochures the travel agents (wrongly) assume that it will be on the same aircraft as the normal long haul destinations, its a bit misleading and if the Travel Agents get confused, the general public have no chance. They did have an email about 5 weeks ago telling them it is not on a long haul brochure so the complaints should die down as all new bookings will have the right information.

Hi Darren,
Is the aircraft schedule for winter still showing that TOM642/643 Birmingham to montego bay will be on a Ex firstchoice 767 300ER or has it changed to a ex thomson?
Thanks

Hi Beck,

I answered your question a while back about your flight. BHX-MBJ-BHX a whilst back. It is still scheduled to be an ex-Thomsonfly 767 during the winter.

It is very unlikely to change as holidays will be sold to the higher capacity of 283 passengers which, obviously the ex-First Choice 767's cannot match.

BY-TOM-AMM-FCA,
So many complaints for this route using a 757-200 with 28in seat pitch on a 6hr flight it really does need looking at, its bad enough 3hrs on a sardine can, thats why we booked the extra legroom seats for our trip in March.

Morning All.. late home last night, on a Thomson Boeing 767-304/ER [short haul config] had a center isle out and window [30H] back

and a numb bum by the time we got back to Gatwick, flight out 3hr 57 mins [lgw -lca] flight back just on 5 hrs routed over Turkey and Bulgaria [the longer way round] with head winds of 160 knt's [poss higher at times as i didn't have the flight details on all the way]

other than that the flight was uneventful, the old bird performed well, cabin crew friendly enough, only let down was a shortage of snacks [prob due to the out bound lot eating them all]

BY-TOM-AMM-FCA still don't like Thomson one for all check in system [they were booking 5 flights at LCA one was just before us and some were not for another hour or so, by the time we got into departures just had time for one fag and a bottle of water before going to the sin bin [gate 6]

I should change next month with the new airport although I cannot see the checkin staff breaking sweat they never have.We used to get a Taxi to the airport earlier so we could grab a bite to eat, back in 2010 so we will see how it is would sooner have the Larnaca scrum than go back to Turkey.

middy60,

EMA-SFB-EMA (TOM352/3) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. It's looking like G-PJLO will be operating it.

Have a great holiday :cheers :sun2

Antony,

we won't know until the day before the specific aircraft assigned to your flight, so previous replies to your questions apply. If you ask on Wednesday, we'll see what we can do for you.

Hello again, can anyone tell me which actual aircraft(reg no.) are likely to be used for TOM068/69 on 20th/27th Nov 09 respectively. Thanks

nutmeg1,

We Can Not Tell Which Aircraft (Registration) Will Be Operating That Route So Far In Advance, except to say it will most probably be a former First Choice Aircraft, If You Ask Us The Day Before Your Flight We Will Then Know.

Hi - Arrived back from Paphos on Sunday, TOM2731 PFO-MAN. I was aware the a/c would be a 767 short haul, but it had loads of legroom,

probably 33ins. The a/c was GOBYJ. Was this a substitute ?

I have never had the luxury of extra legroom from PFO.

Chris1957,

This Would Have Indeed Been A Substitute Aircraft As It Is One Of The Long haul Configured Thomson Airways Boeing 767-300s. Not Scheduled On This Route (Although It Operated 3 Flights To PFO In September), So Lucky You ;)

Thanks a lot and sorry for being a pest!

Anthony,

MAN-SSH-MAN (TOM572/3) should be operating TOM2426/7 (MAN-Palma-MAN) before your flight tomorrow morning, and operating TOM668/9 (MAN-Luxor-MAN) this afternoon. The aircraft operating that rotation is G-OBYI, so you'll have seat back IFE baring any operational changes.

Have a great holiday :cheers :sun2

Darren

For information, G-OBYF seems to have ceased operating for TOM as of 14th September 2009.
