We go to Mumbai twice each winter season for probably 5 days and do much as Katie said but at a slower pace as we have more time.
You can buy the Time Out Mubai in the book shop in the Mandovi Hotel (Panjim)or the book shop round the corner (if they have it - only once been disappointed) and this is how we found Mulland (now one of our favourite places in Mumbai).
Be aware that central Mumbai (shopping bits) do not come awake until about 11 am as they don't pack up until about 9 pm in the evening and most of them sleep where they work.
Lots of things to see in Mubai - Crawford Market is OK but like markets can be a bit "samey" but the open market over the road is wonderful - lively, rushed and in your face but love it. Chor Bazar (or Thieves Market as it is know) is another wonderful place to visit - friends were very wary the first time we took them there but have visited since on their own.
Fashion Street for tops and trousers but not a lot of real fashion - Linking Road for shoes and handbags,
The Atrium if you want to buy a Bentley or anything designer and Phoenix Mills (lower Parel) like any shopping centre in the UK
Dhobi Ghats at Mahalaxmi - if you have time.
No you will have to go back and have a holiday there. WE love it and nothing will put us off visiting Mumbai
