If anyone is looking to book this indepently it seems to be cheapes on the Monarch site - £122 for a week B n B this is who we booked it with the first time round.
We liked the place so much we are off back in January with Thomas Cook!
It can be read here folks http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/reviews/india/goa/calangute/nazri-resort-hotel/
I stayed at the Nazri in Nov. I put a report up on the hotels page, needless to say i liked it so much I have booked to go again in Jan with Thomas Cook.
The guy that owns it also owns the one at the top of Calungute (but I can't remember the name).

Does anyone know why its only been open 6 months but some parts of the building look old??
It only opened in March and looked very shiny and new when we looked around in May but the monsoon rains and the high humidity can do a lot of damage to the external and internal paint work and it could be that it is in need of touching up in places or the pictures you are looking at show the adjoining properties that are a lot older and run down
I have booked my holiday to India, and i am staying at the Nazri resort in Goa.
I am currently in the process of doing my visa, and i am unsure of how to go about it.
Can I do it online? If so I need the post code for the hotel.
Or am I best visiting the consulate of India in Birmingham?
What is everyone else doing in order to get their visa's?!
Thanks
Sophie
I'm booked into the Nazri also and have just completed and received our visas without issues. I wasn't able to find a post code for the Nazri so I used the post code for a nearby hotel The Ronil Beach who's Postcode is 403 516.
Applying online was straightforward with the help of the thread that GoanMad Tony provided.
Looks like you've picked a nice place to stay, well hope so anyway, when are you going ?
Good luck
Rog
Watch out for the resident Cobra!!!
If I complete my application online do I have to go to Birmingham, or do I send my passport in the post?
This is my first time doing a visa so it's all abit confussing!
I am travelling from Manchester airport 5th April for one week... can't wait!

Well, after staying at the Marinha Dourada for years we have decided to give the Nazri a try. We had a look around the rooms last year and were really impressed, also the restaurant & bar. We have always been able to book rooms at the MD and would like to try and pre book some at the Nazri as there are 4 of us we would like rooms close to each other. I know a few on the forum have stayed and I was hoping you may be able to give us a few tips, what room numbers overlook the pool (we dont mind the top floor) how was the bar and (is it used much by the guests) how was breakfast or any meals at the hotel....any info would be great ....thanks Keith....
Breakfast was pretty good compared to some hotels in Goa. Eggs (as usual) any way you want them, fruit, toast and other bread/pastry items and of course some typical goan fare.
We only used the bar once in the evening and it was very quiet, however they have some themed evenings where dinner is served around the pool and there is some entertainment on. We didn't take advantage of this but the comments from some guests was that the food was excellent.
We did spend a couple of days around the pool and used the restaurant for lunch - which was fine and very little difference in cost to the beach shacks.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, but we are giving Candoliim a go next February.
Hope this helps
Thanks Keith
You are welcome Keith. One thing I did remember was that the spirits when we went to the bar in the evening were very expensive. The only time we were shocked by a bill in Goa
we stayed in the nazri feb 2010 and is the best hotel we have stayed in out of 5 trips to goa. we had a standard room and it was spacious and spotlessly clean. mini bar same prices as outside hotel. the breakfast was good but it was the first time we had to pay for eggs(except boiled). omelettes, scrambled or fried were ,i think ,90r. although not expensive i was suprised as we have never payed for this at lower rated hotels. i had the best curry i have ever had in the hotel - red king prawn curry- and it was the same price as restaurants outside. the pool area was very nice, though we always go to the beach. we always had a drink in the bar last thing at night. couldn't really fault the hotel, loved the location. would definately return if we go north again, but would like to try south for a change next time.
