We spent 2 nights at the Stables B&B in Lincoln in late November 2009. The main reason we chose is it was the location as it is perfect situated for exploring the historical areas of uphill Lincoln. The private off road parking was also very useful. We were in bedroom 3, which is a double en-suite room with views of the cathedral. The room was well decorated and very warm and cosy, despite the November weather and the breakfasts are very good. Highly recommended! In terms of sightseeing, there is lots to do in Lincoln. We visited the Castle, Bishop's Palace, Cathedral, Museum of Lincolnshire Life and The Collection (archaeology museum) and also spent some time browsing around the huge array of shops. There are also lots of restaurants to choose from - we particularly liked Café Zoot and Tequilas, both near the top of Bailgate.
The photos look fantastic, it is a very picturesque place.
I think they would recommend a visit to Brown's Restaurant and Pie Shop too, if you fancy a traditional feast
They had haslet to start, main course of pie...
and treacle tart to follow http://www.brownspieshop.co.uk/index.htm
