I seem to remember that your last posts were about a holiday that you had planned in La Mata.

I am unsure about how much you enjoyed the area, but as you have listed it as a possible Christmas destination, I shall use the place as an example of what you can expect over that period in this part of the Costa Blanca.

Most of the areas you mention will be either very quite or shut over Christmas. For instance, you would be lucky to find any bar or restaurant open after 9pm in La Mata on Christmas Eve. This is because it is traditional to be with your family enjoying a meal that evening. The culture of going out to celebrate does not really exist.

La Zenia, Cabo Roig and Playa Flamenca are British areas, so there will be places open, but expect to pay hugely inflated prices.
The Hotel La Zenia is probably the best those areas have to offer, but in my opinion, the rooms are tatty.

Celebrations in Spanish towns are on the evening of the 5th. January when the ‘cabalgatas' are held. This is the parade of the 3 kings (Los Reyes Magos), traditionally children do not receive any presents until the following morning.
