Looks like Goa has gone.
For some maybe, not for me! :
There may be Russian shacks at the north end of the beach and behind the road, but the ones on the beach at the river side seem to be patronised by a 'healthy mix' of tourists and locals.
I can't wait to go back.

I have posted positive comments and info on The South if you check. I'll make no bones about the fact that I am appalled by the environmental destruction, filth and mayhem around the North 'strip', as you should be aware, it wasn't always like that. I will be back to Goa when it get's some of it's problems settled out (in a few years). I do like SOME of Goa but I'm amazed by how quickly a lot of areas have gone down hill so quickly (fact and TRUTH).
As for Morjim, visit there now before it get's destructed. Can be one of the most tranquil parts of Goa.
We have been coming to Goa on and off for over twenty years and it has changed tremendously in that time but I have seen what has happen to Palma Nova/Magaluf, Playa Las Americas, Lido de Jessolo and Ayia Napa they all started life as small fishing villages just like Baga and Candolim used to be but thank goodness Goa is still nowhere near as bad as those places have become
I can not stop commercialism, so I intend to enjoy the place the way it is for as long as I can with or with temporary beach shacks and at least the Rupee is as dodgy as Sterling so you still get a lot to the worthless pound.
