with that date your still in the boundries of the so called high peak season what with the kiddies summer holidays. trying to find a late booking on somewhere you have seen and would like to go to is a gamble. my last holiday went up and over £500 to what i paid in the last week before we went, so i was lucky that i booked in january when you seem to get the better deals. to be honest if your looking at the canaries with two adults and a child s/c for two weeks you would be looking at around £1,200 to £1,600 to say Fuerteventura, Corralejo. thats pending on your needs and wants.

i am in the same boat in a way, not yet booked but going around a week after you around the 14th september, but not sure where or what sort of accomadtion to look for, as i am taking my mother in law with us this year she gives us £1000 towards the cost (spending money excluded) so i'm looking at a comfortable mid range villa, its all good fun looking around getting prices, doing reviews. it starts my holiday off. and its all worth the time and effort, has we all want the best of what we can get for our hard owed money.

hi yummymummy....if your worried about the euro making it expensive to live maybe you should consider AI....seems expensive but if you get a good AI it can work out cheaper than SC in the long run...here's one I found....6th sept for 14 days ...2 adults and 1 child....gran caneria...playa taurito...in the lago taurito...£2122....we went this hotel in july and have booked again for next year ...it is a good family AI...and has free entry to the waterpark for your whole stay...you would only need spend on papers each day

I have decided on going back to Turkey on 4th September, to the cettia apartments in marmaris.
We stayed here this year, and they were lovely.

We got a good price too, just over 1000pounds for 2 adults and 1 child self catering for 2 weeks thats with thomascook.

Now we're looking at a week in Lanzarote next month. Will it still be nice over there in Jan?

We're not expecting it to be very warm, the low 20's will suit us fine. Its just that ive got an assessment week at uni next month, and ive not got any exams, just essays to hand in. So i thought id grab the opportunity to go on holiday, as im a student nurse, which means i only get a few weeks off evey year.
