I could not find reviews on the Maderia hotels page - anybody been there recently ?
It's a Thomsons Gold - and I understand it is new to that list, perhaps last summer was its debut ?
I believe it was formerly called the Hotel Vila Ramos.
I haven't actually been there but I know where it is. Its about a 20 -25 minute walk into Funchal, the road being fairly flat apart from the last 200 metres or so downhill into the city. There are 2 hotels with similar names so if you get a taxi make certain that you ask for the Savoy gardens and not Royal Savoy. Taxi fare from Funchal will be about 5 euros.

I think the reason it hasn't been on the review page is that it had a different name earlier.
Still no review option for the Savoy Gardens - previously known as Vila Ramos.
