Yes,
We have stayed there twice.Really good location close to many restaurants and good access to beaches.
First time we were allocated a really tired room just above the kitchens and on reflection we should have asked for a move.I would describe this room as a studio.
Second time we stayed we were given an apartment style room in one of the newer blocks(now probably not so new). Still the usual Goan 1970s look but we were more than happy as it was located near one of the better pools and in a quieter area.
Love to know how the refurbed rooms are from members going in the next few months.
I would reiterate that HBR is one of the better charter hotels in North Goa.
In our experience.

[b]i have stayed at the highland.they will have no problems were staying at the phoenix park this year as anybody got any reports.
Hi would the rooms with two bedrooms be recomended for 2 adults a d 2 children, my son is trying to find hotel that will sleep all 4 in one room. We have booked sunset beach, but they only allow 3 in a room, which means they have to book 2 rooms,as the kids are 4 and 9 they are too young to sleep on their own which means they would have to split into 2 rooms. Pity the sunset are not larger rooms. Thanks Denham
the best thing to do is to e.mail highland beach and ask if they do family rooms if not try god, gift apartments they these are very good.
I would say it is a good place to stay if you have children as there are at least three pools to choose from.

Denham the HBR do have rooms with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 1 double, 1 twin (the bedrooms, not the bathrooms that is ). It is probably best to contact HBR and ask for phase 3.
of the Highland they were superb 2 bedrooms large full kitchen with washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave.
the grounds were well kept, and the complex had 3 great pools, will never stay at the Highland again!!! you can book
through Owners Direct or Holidays Abroad you won,t be sorry.

Hi thanks everyone for your help, my son booked the sunset beach hotel yesterday cos it was a good deal, but they will have to have one child and one adult per room. But another couple also booked so we have 4 rooms between us,so we could take it in turns to have the kids with us we hope. Thanks denham
Hi everyone, well looking to go back to Goa in February 2011, obviously really liked my first visit this year. I was wondering if anyone could help, we are thinking of booking the Highland Beach Hotel in Candolim. We stayed in the Horizon in Calangute this year but it is coming up quite expensive for next year. My sisters are booked to stay in the Somy Resort, and my friends are back in the Mira. What I would like to know if we went to the Highland Beach Hotel are we quite far from the others? I know I was there this year but just cant think. We got a taxi into Candolim one day. Also if you had the choice between the Somy Resort or Highland Beach which would you recommend. Hoping to get booked today.
I would recommend the Highland, stayed there twice and loved it, you would be approx 5 mins away by taxi from Somy Resort.
Highlands is near the big Newtons Supermarket in Candolim, so quite a good location, many years since we stayed but we liked it there.
its ok but a bit like blackpool imo
Always the Highland Beach for me, really central for everything. xx
Any updated reviews or thoughts on the HBR please? It is our first time to GOA so i value your input
I agree Blackpool must really have changed.Always the Highland Beach for me.There again March.cant wait.
