Want to go to Benidorm this year never been before just hubby & me, Not sure which part to go for
Dont want to be in the middle of Boom Boom allnight but dont want to be somewere dead !!
So if we pick the old part a bit quieter is it very far from the more lively end would we be able to walk in
& back to old town easy, Thinking of going September. Dont mind a nice stroll along the prom to get to it
in other words how from one end to other.
many thanks, Gina.
Benidorm Old Town is sandwiched between the Poniente and Levante beaches and districts, and has many shops, bars, restaurants, hostals and hotels hidden away in the little narrow streets. For more authentic Spanish culture, Benidorm Old Town is the place to go. The Old Town also has its own small beach in the cove at Playa del Malpas.
The Levante stretches a couple of kilometres east from the Old Town towards the Rincon de Loix, incorporating the area known as the New Town, which contains much of Benidorm's nightlife, and some of the larger high rise hotel and apartment complexes.
The Poniente stretches a couple of kilometres west from the Old Town towards La Cala Finestrat. Poniente is a massive area like the Levante, but nowhere near as densely populated in terms of accommodation, bars, restaurants or holidaymakers.

Thank you for your reply, sounds such a big place think i will have to just book & see... if we make a mistake this time...
Perhaps if you tell us more about your likes, dislikes, requirements and preferences, members may be able to come up with some suggestions.
For example, you say that you don't want to be in the middle of Boom Boom all night. But does that mean you want to be in it for part of the night, and then retire to a more peaceful location for a sleep ? Or do you want to avoid Boom Boom completely ?
Somewhere perhaps in the Old Town (Hotel Avenida just for example) or at the edge of the Old Town and start of the Levante (Hotel Madeira Centro just for example) would allow easy access on foot to most of the best day time and night time attractions. But they are far enough away from the all night Boom Boom nightlife that you obviously do not wish to disturb your sleep.
There is also some nice accommodation on the Poniente side, but not all of it within walking distance of the Old Town or Levante nightlife.
Tell us more about what you want or expect in your hotel/apartment and resort, and hopefully you might get some interesting suggestions and recommendations.

If I can help you any more, feel free to ask.... Snowey.....
But then get away to a quieter arear, getting drunk/staying out all night does not interest us
We are day people, we like to be out & about for most of the day every day, But still like to go out in the evening for a nice steady stroll along a Prom Maybe stop off & enjoy a beer or two. Think we shall look @ being somewhere inbetween the two
maybe near the old town, where ever we end up I am going to enjoy it.
Thanks again, Gina.
I think a Hotel like The Dalmatus would suit you fine. Its straight across from the Levante Beach, so you can have nice walks straight on the Prom, towards the Old Town, you are only a few minutes walk from most of the main nightlife, and there are quite a few decent bars near you too. But its quiet there at nightime, so you have best of both really. Food is very good indeed there, and the staff are really friendly. The rooms are slightly dated now for its 4 star rating...i'd class it more of a 3 star really, but other than that.....and slow lifts, its got most things going for it! Get a map sent to your home from benidorm tourism...then you can see the areas at a glance, in order to get your bearings!
Gina.
Hotel Dalmatas topic, which also contains links to our separate reviews and video pages for that hotel.
However, I notice that in THIS separate topic towards the end of last year, you mentioned that it was an apartment you were looking for, so perhaps you could confirm if your latest plans are for a hotel or self catering, just so that any recommendations are appropriate.
