Hi mazza ... just in case of any confusion, the company is actually Kiss Flights, which is an agent for Viking Airlines. Neither of them have taken over Flyglobespan, but they will commence new services from Scotland to airports in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey, some of which happen to be destinations which Flyglobespan used to fly to.

But it's certainly a welcome boost for Scotland, and Glasgow Airport in particular, which has suffered badly since the demise of XL, Zoom and Flyglobespan.

Hi mazza ... Flyglobespan and parent company Globespan have collapsed and are in the hands of administrators. Kiss Flights and Viking Airlines have announced that they will be operating new routes, including some of those previously operated by Flyglobespan, but I have seen nothing at all about any form of business connection or acquisition. Let us know if she tells you any more. Meanwhile I have edited the contents of the email about their Glasgow/Alicante service, as personal emails should not be reproduced without the sender's permission.
