We're off to Benidorm for a month in Feb to try and escape the weather (we hope - at least we have heating in the apartment!) and we know there is a fiesta during that time in Alicante but does it happen in Benidorm?

You are probably thinking of Carnavales. In Alicante this year it is from 15 February to 1 March. Someone may be along with the dates for Benidorm otherwise why not email the tourist office?
No fiestas as such as Alicante their is a carnival 21st February and a religious festival on 7th February but are nothing incomparasion to the November fiesta.
