I can't speak for Napa as have never been but from what friends have said Sunny beach is smaller with much less clubs.

On the upside there are much less Brits.
You defintiely won't be dissapointed with the scandinavian ladies - hundreds of them. Go to club Viking and there is another club (forgotten the name) but I was taken there by a Norweigan who said it was only for Scandinavians. bloody brilliant it was.
I'd say when i've been it's been about 1/4 german 1/4 Scandinavian 1/4 russian 1/4 british (this is based on going Aug 2007, may 08, July 08, Sep 08, May 09, July 09)

- Are there any cheap workers apartments out in Sunny Beach, based right in the center of the clubs?
no idea - if you get stuck I have an aprtment up the hill in St Vlas. I wouldn't imagine you'll have much trouble finding accomodation inSb there is alway loads going around.
- Is May the best time to go, just before it gets busy?
I've been last week of May the past 2 years (and this) and the resort is only just opening -not very busy at all so don't know what it'll be like for you getting work. There were 2 club opening parties that week last year and hundreds of german/scandinavian A level aged students who were celebrating finishing exams.
- If I arrive there without booking any accommodation will it be easy enough to find a place on the same day?

- What daytime adrenaline rush activities are there to do? there is abungy/slungshot thing -all the watersports you could want for bargain prices
- Is it safe? Or is it just like Napa? (which was pretty safe to me) I'd say it's safe -the only annyonace i had was hookers and beggars -never saw any fights

- Anything else I need to know?
It's not the Euro so it's as cheap as chips mate if you know where to go to eat (away from the beach)
I'd reccommend it as the lack of Brits make it the perfect place for me

Friends of ours own the Atol hotel in Sunny Beach. It is right in the centre, in the market area. They are open all year round, in fact there were british visitors staying there last week. All the staff are very helpful and could point you in the right direction re finding an apartment etc. They would deffo have room in May. If you want further info just let me know.
