hi bibster....we went the Lago Taurito, in Playa Taurito, Gran Caneria last year for a week....and loved it so going back for 2 this year.....they have family rooms ...thats what weve booked this year...so I know they take 4 ...but you would need ask about 5...they may put extra bed in ...

family rooms are just like 2 twin rooms that have an opening between them , and one main door instead of 2...what was a bathroom in one of the rooms is instead a kitchenette with breakfast bar...that room is done as living room with sofa beds....the other room is as a normal twin room but think the bathroom is bigger as it uses the space up that used to be needed for short corridor that passed the bathroom from main room door to the main area....so quite spacious....

Ive put a report in the hotel reviews....though we had 2 twin rooms last year...there are other good reports as well as mine...so go have a read.....if you want sunshine and water slides included in AI this could be for you...and lots for you all to do too......

ps.....Lago Taurito is one of thomascooks packages....it doesnt always come up unless you use the "know where I want to go " option and choose the hotel ....will try out five for you and see what it does as am curious myself....tweetie

hi bibster...as promised....dont know how old children are so did as 5 adults.....the quote for a family room for 5 came up as no avaiability...so I put in as 2 rooms , one for 2 and one for 3....last year we had 2 standard rooms which are said to be for 2 to 3 people...they are big rooms and though we only had 2 beds per room there was plenty of space for another one....we requested the rooms be next door to each other...and we got them...as the room layouts are the two front doors were right next to each other with only inches seperating them.....2 standard rooms believe it or not are cheaper here than 1 family room....this time something was going on when we booked ...maybe they thought less families would be booking due to high euro and cost of living rising ....and we booked a family room because it was the cheapest option then....now its back to normal and family rooms are the more expensive option again.

So here is what I found....

5 adults for 2 rooms AI for 14 nights
£4201......( comes up as £4290....but when you press continue it changes to £4201)

Tip.....what I do if booking thomascook is find the hols I want on thomascooks internet site...phone local thomascook high st shop....they will tell you as long as its that days quote they will match it....and when you go in to book it they do...but may try for a bit more off you first...just say you only want to book if price matched....its less hassle in the long run booking it in the shop
