Hi kellyrich ... it's years since I have heard that complex mentioned on here. I will ask for it to be added to the reviews database again, in the hope that we might attract some feedback from recent guests.

As for location, it's on Calle Primavera, at the side of Parque L'Aiguera and just in front of the large Mercadona store, on the edge of the Old Town and start of Levante district. It's around 800m/900m uphill from the beach, a pleasant walk down through the park or into the Old Town, but you may perhaps rely on taxis a fair bit returning home at night if you were venturing into the heart of resort nightlife.

Hi thansk for your reply. It has fairly good reviews on Trip Advisor but wnated some people's opinions on here, as i woudl like to book it today as i thought it was a good deal!

I was a bit worried about the location as we do like to go out at night and see all the nightlife, do you think this would be a problem in this location? Is it far out from anywhere? Would we have to get taxis to venture out during the day etc to see everywhere?

No, as long as you enjoy a walk and no one in your party has mobility problems, then I don't think you would need to use taxis during the day, if you were going to or from the Old Town, beach, etc.

But for nightlife, you may want to use taxis both ways if you were perhaps going to The Square, or thereabouts.

As for the complex itself, as I say it is a long time since I have heard it mentioned but from what I recall, one of the biggest negatives at that time was that there was no security and only a part time reception. That did concern some holidaymakers who might be returning late at night, but it didn't bother those who were just looking for cheap and cheerful accommodation.

La Caseta Apartments have now been added to our reviews database. If anyone has stayed there recently and would like to provide some feedback, please click here.

Many thanks

Hi Kellyrich

Re: La Caseta apartments ~ we stayed there twice actually (roughly 5 & 7 years ago). They are in a very 'central' location to both beaches and about a ten min. walk downhill to the beginning of the main shopping area and the promenade. We were very happy with our stay there, as it was both clean & spacious and our being on the 8th floor gave us gorgeous views of Peacock Island (the small island out at sea) and the park area opposite.

The hotel staff were as helpful as could be (not that we had any complaints) and what I liked most of all at the time was that there was internet access on the two computers down in Reception. It was a Euro for 15 mins then, though I don't know what it will be now. It was nice to keep in touch with family & friends while watching everyone enjoy splashing in around in the pool outside. Pool was great btw, and the childrens tiny pool alongside (and so close) , was great!

Before booking these apartments, you have to decide on whether you are only going there for the 'entertainment' and to club & pub it every night (in which case it's not the right location for you, as it'd be a good 20-30 min walk for all that <although a very entertaining & interesting walk, with you taking in all the 'liveliness' of Benidorm's nighlife> , and a great time longer staggering back!!) or going for a 'best of both worlds location', where you are central to everything ~ late night shops, family pubs, lots of eating places and a more relaxed atmosphere away from the 'louder & wilder' side of Benidorm. It's your choice entirely.
There's a huge Supermarket right next door to the apartments, which certainly comes in handy if you need anything last minute!!! Personally we loved our stay in La Caseta and would defo stay there again in the future, but this time, we just feel like a little change.

Sometimes after a few days of the hustle & bustle of exploring Benidorm, we used to love just chilling out on our balcony enjoying a take-away of roasted chicken & pizza from the nearby Fast Food places, while enjoying the views of the lit-up park opposite (which sometimes had music playing or shows going on). We got locked in there once, but that's another story lol!!

There was a real nice eating place called Micheal Angelos a few blocks down too, that served a FAB breakfast and it was a nice place to have that 'last drink' before you headed back up to your apartment at the end of the night.

Hope this helps. Have a great holiday whatever you decide :-)

Glad to hear you are fixed up kellyrich, Gemelos XXII is always a popular choice. If you have any specific questions, there is a dedicated topic for the complex, please click here.

Welcome Sue, thanks for your feedback on La Caseta. Even although it is from a few years ago, it may still help anyone considering this complex while we wait for more recent feedback..

Stayed here about 11 years ago. Right next to the park that splits old and new towns

Big size if i remember

Only grouse was that there was a supermarket next door and some of the deliveries were a bit early ;)

The Micheal Angelo that Ursybabe mention is no longer open, we went past it in December and it looks as if it has been destroyed by fire.

Aww I'm sorry to hear that about Michel Angelos christine as it was a nice place. No doubt it'll re-open again, though what as this time I don't know.

Glad you got your holiday sorted kellyrich. It sounds like a good deal and looks a great place!

Thanks for the welcome David, and I look forward to visiting often :-)

Oh btw if you type in Michelangelo Benidorm on Google, and then click on the map shown for the Apartmentos ~ it will take you in to an interactive STREET VIEW of the actual road where the La Caseta apartments are . They're the tall brown apartments by the supermarket. If you turn the opposite way, you can also see the green canopies of where Michelangelos once was at the bottom.

For those who are unfamiliar with these interactive street views ~ just place your cursor on the pic and drag/move the screen around to where you want to see. You can also follow the arrows to take you along the road. Isn't this modern technology simply amazing eh? :-)

Happy hols folks!
