Today's rate is 1.14 so a big improvement since last summer.
We're going in 4 weeks so hope the rate continues to improve. Didn't find PB too expensive last year & hope prices have remained around the same

We were there last September and didn't find if overly expensive. The exchange rate hasn't changed much since then (well not enough to make a noticable difference). We are off back in 4 weeks.

I've just arrived back in Lanzarote from a weeks break in UK, and I have to say I found UK supermarkets an awful lot cheaper for food than I had expected. I reckon if you budget as you would in UK, you won't go far wrong, and of course drinks are cheaper here, mainly cos the measures are more generous

I did wonder if it would be on par with prices here, though if supermarkets are not that cheap in Lanza may not pay to buy stuff to have back at bungalow. Last year bought some chops and salad a couple of times to have before we went out and it was cheaper than eating out every night.

Yes drink measures are larger - as you find out after 2 or 3 or so!!

Cant wait to come in a couple of weeks for a week of just chilling and doing whatever, when we feel like it!!

It was doing my parents shopping for them all week that made me realise how prices seemed cheaper than here! Also there were a lot of "meal deals" around, and cut price lunches in town!!

Yes, it will surely be cheaper to buy a couple of meals in supermarkets here, and there are some inexpensive set menus to be had, but I was surprised to find myself realising that Lanzarote isn't as cheap as I thought!!!!
