Hi, I was advised to post this question somewhere in here - hope you can help me as I'm a bit worried about one of our friends on this flight....
We've arranged flights for our holiday from Cyprus to Luxor direct with Egyptair.
It seems the leg from Luxor back to Cairo is on an embraer 170, which I understand is a fairly small plane. One of our party is a bit bothered about this flight as she is not very good with confined spaces.
Has anyone flown on this type of plane who can give me their experience?
The Embraer ERJ-170 is a very modern and capable aircraft with an excellent safety record. The type went in to commercial service in 2005, followed by larger varients of the jet (175, 190 & 195). They are a common sight on inter-european as well as regional flights. They have a seating capacity of 70 so is a small twin-jet with seating arranged 2-2. I've been onboard an E170 to have a look around, but never flown on one. The flight experience will be no different to any other small - medium sized jet aircraft so there's nothing for your friends to be worried about.

Thanks Darren
I have flown on these a few times between Manchester and Helsinki, nice comfortable flight, good leg room.
