Hi,
can we have a little more information? Is your budget for a week or fortnight and what board are you looking for? I'm sure we'll come up with lots of recommendations for you to research ;)

Laganas on Zakynthos, Kadamina on Kos or Malia on Crete immediately spring to mind, there is also Alberfura on the Algarve, some of the Spanish resorts and the Balearic or canary islands it all depends on what you want to do and what you fancy...

Try flight only and accomodation only with alpharooms or travel republic it sometimes works out cheaper.

How about Turkey , the weather should be good then also . As its not a euro zone your £'s might go further.

Ooops I'm sorry, should have stated this in the first place! Wanting to go for a week and would prefer bed and breakfast, so that we can go out at night to eat and have a drink, hence the reason we want somewhere like Ayia Napa where you are able to do this and thre is a nice atmosphere and a lively part too :)
Thanks for all your answers so far guys! :)

Have a look at Gumbet in Turkey, the Parkim Ayaz hotel would be a good choice for b&b, it is right on the beach, in the middle of the resort and has some great reviews. Gumbet is a lively, lots of good bars and restaurants and good nightlife, although no clubs as such there are several big bars where you can dance until the early hours. Turkey is also good value for money.

I'll second Gumbet too! Sounds ideal for you. Out of the Euro zone as well! Bodrum next door is a great place to visit too, some great clubs there!

Yes, I think you'd enjoy Gumbet too. I'd recommend the hotel baba where we stayed but apparently it's closed down :( :yikes
I don't think you'll have too much trouble finding a B&B for a week on your budget. There should be a few decent ones about.

Without a shadow of a doubt I'd recommend Gumbet, it's the best holiday we've ever had. We're fairly young, just hit our 30's and we have kids from 4 years to 9 years old and they loved it too. You have everything you need on the doorstep, bars, restaurants, shops, tour booking shops etc, the beach has a nice breeze, lots of watersports and its all right on your doorstep as soon as you step out of your hotel at the back, for the beach, or the front for the shops and bars etc. We stayed at the Parkim palace in 2007, it was then refurbished and re opened as the Parkim Ayaz the year after in 2008. We didn't stay at Parkim Palace/Ayaz in 2008 cos the prices went up and it was too dear, we stayed at the Sami Beach which was a couple of hotels further along. We would put Parkim Palace/Ayaz streets ahead of the Sami Beach but we still had a great time.

The good thing about Turkey is, it's guaranteed red hot weather, up in the late 30's and 40 degrees everyday, plus its cheap and has lots to do, some of the views and sights are out of this world. Go to Gumbet and I guarantee, for the resort at least, you'll go back!!!!

We went to Gumbet 2 years in a row, and I want to go back either next year or in 2011. We're going Alanya this yeart just for a change in August, can't wait cos the last time we went abroad was Gumbet in 2008 2 days after we got married, we took the kids cos we didn't want them to miss out.

Our honeymoon was supposed to be 2 weeks A.I in Egypt in September 2008 just me and the wife, but the airline XL went bust the day before we should have flown out. We were gutted, had it booked for over 9 mths and then the very day before we went they went bust, unlucky or what! So we never went to Egypt, but we've promised ourselves that one day we will get there either when the kids are older (Cos its so HOT) or when they have grown up and we go as a couple alone.
