Although i loved Ashvem,i did in a funny kind of way miss the madness of baga, always something going on,and some one to chat to,other highlights of our holiday were, going out in a jeep for the day,we saw some lovely beaches and beautifull country side, also doing the sunset cruise, which i thought would be a serene cruise down the river, couldn`t have been more wrong,it was crazy, loud music everyone up dancing it was great fun and the sunset was beautifull, after we went to the Delhi Derber, again lovely.so in all we had a great time, favourite restaurants were Kimfaa,Allspice,Le jardin, spice oven,Jamies a new one in baga, great food and service.casa portuguese, but a special mention for AU REVERIE wow amazing dining expierence, one of the most beautifull restaurants i have ever been in anyhere, the presentation was exquisite as was the food and service,it would match any top london restaurant.ok restaurants were Floyds hut, lazy days and jamalaya,we spent valentines night here, again Bluesmania was singing and there were lots of H/Ters there we had a great evening.i would say the only really bad meal we had was at Mermaid the 4 of us were in total agreement that it was a bad meal.we had gone to the thai oriental but it was closed,i had saved this as well for our last night i was so disappionted.had some great times at the phoenix bar, bobby`s bar,and many many more.
we also visited Children walking tall,we had been buying bits all year so we dropped them off and Rob showed us round,Mango house is lovely and all seemed very organized.
All in all we had a lovely holiday(although i came back shattered),the only negatives for me is it can be scruffy in places, and the roads frighten me a bit,but for the many pluses i can cope for a 3 week holiday of lovely people, great food, and bundles of fun, with non stop sunshine, and so cheap. For anyone about to go gave a great time.

Glad to hear you had a great trip. :) I know what you mean about the roads. On our first visit OH thought it would be the same deal as Vietnam where you have to just step onto the road and then you find all the traffic just moves around you. I had a real struggle trying to stop him from trying this in Goa :D

Loving your report. That day when you went out and ended up staying out sounds like my sort of day and they are always the best because they are not planned. Hope your head wasn't too bad the next day!!

Great report Debs. For the last 3/4 years we have said we must try Au Reverie but have never got there. Must go next year. Where exactly is it though, can't say I have ever seen it in all the years I have been going.

Hi Brenliz,Au reverie is calangut, near the goan heritage hotel & le jardin,i find myself keep thinking about this restaurant,it really was beautifull and if it was here it would be unaffordable,i even took phot`s of the loo`s(sad)

Don't know where Le Jardin is either, that is another one we have to try. Can't understand why we have never seen these as we have stayed in Calangute for the last 11 years. Must be the coffee doing something to my eyesight.
