I recently saw on here that somebody had asked the question of when/if/is it possible to drive from Agadir - Marrakech. It is, because we did it.
We hired a car from our hotel in Agadir and drove the 4 1/2 hour journey, through the mountain roads, into central Marrakech. We have two young children, who travelled with us, and the roads are 100% safe, and there isnt any real difference to driving in, say, Spain or similar. The cities are busy, but as soon as you're 5 miles out of them, it becomes a great deal more civilised.
You drive through some nice scenery, and some nice villages and theres plenty of places to stop off for drinks/petrol or something to eat. The biggest issue or problem is with the police. Its vital that you keep to the speed limit as there are loads of speed cameras about, and you dont see them and you will be pulled up a couple of miles down the road and fined 400 dirhams if you are travelling too fast obviously.
Its a great experience, really glad I did it and would do it again .......... just a little bit slower
