Going to Luxor at the beginning of August, one week on the nile on the MS Stephanie and then one week in Maritime Jollie Ville. Really looking foward to going with our friends, we are going on this holiday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversaries. Never been to Eygpt before, slightly scarey, but exciting.
hi lainey we where that way aswell but its not as scarey as you think first couple of days we were a bit scared but soon got relaxed in there ways and had a brill time

Can I ask what you are scared of? I was in Luxor / Hurghada in March and there's nothing to be scared of! You'll have a great time exploring the tombs and temples.

Well the unknown actually, I have been going to Greece for about 10 years and this is going to be completely different. I supposed not really scared but anxious about what to expect. I know I will be okay after a few days. I have been reading about other people's experiences and I am really looking forward to the holiday. Also looking foward to seeing all the sites etc.
We're going to the Movenpick in Taba in 7 weeks.

lainey go to sharm club website and bet your excercoins booked before you go its worked out for us with the 5% discount from them we booked 5 excersions and paid for 4 got the quad biking free and you dont need to give deposit once you arrive get hotel to contact them let them know your room number they are the cheapest i found. and joed have a look at the persons contubutions say to other hotels they been at and you will find around 70% of complainers are just that. the hotel we going to has silly things like not enough chips on menu or stuff they write about hotel you say to yourself what hotel they on about not the one i was at. 
Thank you for your tips on excursions. But we have 12 excursions already included in the first week. So when we get to the hotel we are just going to relax and chill out. Maybe take a few trips into Luxor itself and have a route around, and see what else there is.

Our holiday can't come soon enough..... we're really looking forward to yet another trip to our favourite Egypt destination of Luxor.
Have never been to Sharm although did visit Hurghada on an overnight stay and some snorkelling in 1994.
But as we now live in Cyprus (originally from UK) if we want a beach holiday - we can go pretty much anywhere we like from 10 minutes to 2hrs drive away.
So, Luxor for us - but gotta wait till mid September

11 more sleeps for us we are getting excited but nervous its a new country for us all im sure once we have been there a few days we will be ok 
hi top tower i was the same the first time i went was very unsure and the first couple of days you might feel uneasy especelly when you out and about in markets they can be a bit in your face jst say LA SHUKRAN walk on or play them at there own game its fun and they just dont understand what is going on. stay out of the perfume shops the sods just want to sit you down and rob you blind they even know how much money you have in your wallet with a climpse. as for battering its easy what ever they say half it then take off 5 and dont move so if somthing 100 egp say 45egp and dont move if they dont agree walk away they will soon run after you and give you at 45, 9 out of 10 of the times.

Didn't get away on the 19th April, but we are now going 3rd June still to the Royal Albertros Moderna ( unless an asteroid hits Earth or something ).

12 weeks tomorrow and we're going to the Royal Albatros Moderna. 3rd time to Egypt but never been to this hotel. If anyone has recently been I would love to know what they think of it.
