We will be in Luxor for 1 week in September and a number of years ago we took a day cruise to Dendera with our tour op (expensive but a great day) which included a tour and lunch on board ship on the return.
Anyone based permanently in Luxor who can provide me with some up to date "local" prices? We want to do it independently this time. Does the trip only run on certain days of the week? We fly in from Cyprus late on Friday evening and will depart lunchtime the following Friday.
I also want to do the balloon flight this time too although think not too many of my party share my enthusiasm - too many reports of crashes! Again, costs and local agents to book with would be appreciated.
We will be staying in New Winter Palace Pavillion (got a steal of a deal for a week on B&B at a little less than £90pp) and wouldn't mind doing the camel caravan in the evening on the West Bank. Did that about 10yrs ago from what was the Corallia and had a great time.
We have some Luxor "newbies" with us and what to do a few different things.
