Although he is not the author there is bound to be a Lee Child buff who will know what books he would recommend?
Maybe worth a try.

Ok, I've just noticed my wife has a book which has a Lee Child recomendation on the back. The book is called
Dead Spy Running by John Stock, about to start reading it and it has a Lee Child recommendation across the bottom of the cover:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dead-Spy-Running-Jon-Stock/dp/0007350171
Personally would recommend all the Simon Kernick books:

Superb holiday reads, mind you'll be stuck on the sun lounger longer than planned because you cannot put them down.
Having read all of Lee Child's Jack Reacher books I thing Simon Kernick's books are far better based in this country which is good and are faster paced and more addicitive.
Have read all of Andrew Gross books the Ty Hauck series would also recommend them they are also great holiday reads.
By any chance was it http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dead-Spy-Running-Jon-Stock/dp/0007350171
