Just received a letter advising us of a change to our flight times. Original flights were 26/07/10 - 8.30am and return 09/08/10 5am. Amended flights are outward 26/7/10 19.50 via some airport in England to collect folk and return 18.50.
Obviously not too happy as changes are not suitable at all. Spoke to Thomas Cook, who I booked through, and they said tough if you want to change or cancel it will cost you.
There website FAQ's state -
Changes Made By Us Before Travel
From time to time we may have to change details of the Holiday you have booked. If any change will have a significant effect on your Holiday, we will tell you about it before your Holiday, if there is time. Changes we will tell you about include:
"¢Change of your UK departure airport
"¢Significant change of your destination
"¢A change of more than 12 hours to the time you leave the UK or your destination
"¢If we downgrade your accommodation by one full 'Tour Operator' rating or
"¢If the swimming pool will not be available for an extended period during your Holiday and no alternative pool is available either at the property or nearby.
Which by the time we actually leave the UK it will be near 13 hours after original flight time and she said that it didnt matter but only after she tried to tell me that clause was not listed on their website.
At a dead end here not sure what to do any ideas?
Cheers
Your outbound flight has moved by less than 12 hours.
Thanks reading and replying now got it sorted. After several phone calls they have agreed to change our flights at a cost of £20 which is great considering they were asking for over a £100 this morning.
