there aren't many people who don't like Cyprus and a good precentage become repeat visitors.. ! glad you are enjoying it so far !
You cant wave to me from your balcony then cos your facing the other way lol.
Have a great time BBG.
The hotel was lovely, Protaras and Ayia Napa were fantastic too....
I went over for a drink one night at your hotel Cardiff lad. Think i was served by someone called James (don't think it was you)
I will hopefully write up a review (going to be a long one i think ) on here later about our hotel, Protaras, Ayia Napa and Cyprus in general.
Well thanks again for all your help guys. If anyone wants to look at some of my photo's you're welcome to

Im already looking at prices for going back in August, although probably too soon and too expensive, but whether we get to go back again this year or not we will definately be back! Even talks of moving over there!
Thanks again

We got back Sunday night, how quick has that gone. Great pics glad you enjoyed it and now you too have the Cyprus bug We had a fab time too.
13 weeks for me tenth time cant wait, Parga next sunday first
* climbed to the top of Saint Elias church on the top of the hill in Protaras
* walked along the coastal path from Pernera to Protaras numerous times anywhere from 8.30am till 2am
* walked from Pernera, around about 3 bays till we reached the harbour then walked back into
Pernera along the main road
* spent relaxing days on the beautiful Fig Tree Bay, Protaras and the even more beautiful Nissi Bay, Ayia
Napa
* did the open top Red Bus village tour
* did the Aphrodite boat ride and swam in the blue lagoon
* went shopping in Ayia Napa during daytime, and went on a night time too
* sailed on The Black Pearl pirate ship in Ayia Napa
* went to Atlantis waterpark
* ate some traditional Cypriot mezes (all 22 dishes)
* went parasailing
* did the island tour (stopping at several villages, wine tasting, Nicossia, Limassol, etc)
* went horse riding through the Troodos Mountains
So as you can see we didn't just sit by the pool or on the beach but really made the most of our time there!
now you need to learn the recipes, start cooking them at home.. having themed nights.. babbling on about it to all your mates, inviting them up for Cypriot food and drink.. wacking the holiday vids on... photos... spending half your time on here and similar sites looking up and going on about the place.... and you will start to be like the rest of us.. (or me at least)
Sounds good to me Steve!!!
Yeh if you went to the hotel in the night time it would have been James. I normally work the day shift.
I imagine you found your way around OK after all your research and congrats on cramming so much in!
After the worries about if you'd even get there I'm really happy you enjoyed it and I'll check out the photo's tonight (work won't allow facebook access!).
Looking forward to reading your review too
all the best,
Richie
Welcome back bostonbadgirl
Wow , you did lots , when did you get time to chill. I think you need to go back for a rest next time.
Glad you enjoyed it
yes i can't believe how much things we did, including doing the mile or so walk into Protaras and back nearly every day and every night again! thats not including the walk from McDonalds to near Fig Tree Bay and back as well....only wish we'd had one of those pedometers to tell us how many thousands of steps we must have walked each day!!! we did have 3 days on the beaches and 3 days by the pool but we just loved Cyprus so much we just wanted to see as much of it as possible - but another holiday to get over that one sounds not so bad an idea
Glad you both had a great holiday, you did more than i have done in 30 years of goingto cyprus.(i'm lazy though)....Might try and do a bit more when i go back in August ,usually only do the waterpark.
The firtst time we went to Cyprus, we crammed everything into the two weeks just like you. Now we just chill out on Fig Tree Bay. There's usually around 15-16 of us who meet up every year.
Roll on Sept. 12th
I am booking for Pernera next July and i'm looking for advice regarding the coastal path/location of the apts i am booking.
I have searched around for a 2 bed apt in the centre of Protaras and there is absolutely no availability whatsoever,so decided i will have to go a bit further out and came across the Sousti apts, anyone stayed here?
I've just been reading your posts bostonbadgirl and wanted to know what you thought of this coastal path going back late at night? Was there many people around late on and did you feel safe?
Many thanks in advance
LM
