woops clicked wrong button, anyway, rio is much older, both in the same place really pools better in jardines but will get no sun in afternoon close to train station, bus right there,5 mins walk from beach and supermarket a few bars close but you are 30 mins walk from fuengirola centre,i live up the hill about 5 mins drive away have done for a while so if you need any more info please ask
i will tell you good and bad too, have been banned from some websites like tripadvisor as they dont like to hear what is bad,the destination expert there is someone that comes here 2 weeks a year
i suggest booking quick as in august the spanish decend here and prices can rocket, you could look at fuengirola valet service and see what they have,i guess they have website,i have used them before when my son comes with his friends but i just pop in ofc to ask

thanks for the info and anymore information on the area etc would be appreciated. I take it from the reply that you think it would be ok to book one of them. the jardines overall looked the better apt but the downside was it was on the 2nd floor, the riosol main selling point for us was its on the ground floor, although it was much smaller inside and the pool looked much smaller with no grass area around it (not a lover of concrete.) Daytime just looking for a nice pool for the kids to play in and a wonder to the beach, a drink whilst down there. At night was hopeing to have a nice promenade to wander down and grab a cheap nice family meals.
Is it much of a faf getting from the airport by train or would you recommend transfer service (we dont know the area never visited costa del sol)
thanks again

well of the two i cant say, thats your choice tho jardines does have i think better pools and grounds, and as i said beach is 5 mins walk max, maybe less, the train is a good bet as its cheap, about 2 euros each, but it is a walk down a hill or up a hill to get you to your place, tho jardines is closer but it is a big complex, that is 2 mins walk from train other place is longer as might take you 10 mins cos of where they are situated
there are many spanish fish places that do all the food you might want on the promenade, its 8km long and you are at the quiet end,a few english bars, paganinis is nice thats an italian on the seafront, not too dear, would be worth getting train to los boliches or fuengirola,2 mins and then you have a much wider choice
trains run every 30 mins by the way, just buy a ticket before you get on at machine,if not sure press the 'idiomas' button then it will tell you in english
a taxi from airport costs about 40 euros i think and around town about 6/8 euros, might be wrong a bit there not used for years so just a guide, and if 6 of you you would need 2 taxis so thats why i suggest the train
anything else just ask,cheers

Have you looked at Rio del Sol in Torreblanca? Good pool, very private, close to all amenities, only drawback is a bit of a hill on approach, if walking.
