This placed has been linked with food hygiene problems for a long time, We stayed at its sister hotel in June 2005. It was called Super Clubs Breezes Punta Cana then.

To cut a very long story short we refused to use the buffet restaurant due to obvious H&S food issues, we got around this by arguing with the rep and getting 12 pre booked reservations in the ala carte restaurants.

We came away relatively unsaved food poisoning wise as the ala carte food was mostly cooked fresh, but did leave one poor woman sobbing at the airport as half her group of 14 wedding party were not allowed to leave hospital for the flight home as they were on IV medication!

To cap it all off around two or three months after we returned whilst watching Holiday Watchdog we recognised a young English lad who had been on our flight out . The whole family it turned out had been hospitalised during our first week and this had led to an undercover team from HWD to do an investigation .

Looking at the currant photos the place has had a refurb and indeed a name change

OK this is not the same hotel as where you stayed but it is amazing how these places change names and groups once they get a bad reputation,

BUT it seems a new brush does not always sweep clean!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh that's awful and I really feel for you. If you're still feeling ill you should visit your doctor for investigations.
