There is plenty happening in the Son Matias area and it's only a short walk to Magaluf, where you will have plenty of choice (for all ages). The Son Matias is an adults only hotel by the beach - we haven't stayed there but know quite a few who have and they say its very good.

We've booked up now and looking forward to it.

May I congratulate on choosing (IMO) the best hotel in Palma Nova.
It is ab fab and I would be very surprised if you didn't like it.
The position is wonderful.
Look forward to your visit and enjoy your holiday! :cheers

Excellent - when are you going? I'm sure you won't be disappointed with your choice. What sort of nightlife do you like? Have you been to Palma Nova before?

Were going 21 june next year for two weeks. Our nightlife varies. (depending on how much we had the night before) we can sit and watch the world go by, but we also like a bit of entertainment at times. some bars with live acts or tribute bands, or the odd comedian.

Not been before, but the beach looks wonderful. are there bars along the prom?

I'm sure you will have a great time - Palma Nova is one of my favourite places. We usually walk to Magaluf, which is only about 5-10 minutes walk, and the bars which have live entertainment include Fountain Bar, Plaza Cafe and Piano Bar. Piano Bar is great - we always go there when we are in PN - it's quite small and gets very busy but they do have a terrace outside where you can still hear the entertainment. There is also Mrs Doyles Irish Bar with live Irish music if you like that sort of thing. In Palma Nova, there is
Ruby Tuesdays which is near to Son Matias - I think they have entertainment and fantastic views from the terrace. If you just want a drink there is a small strip of bars below Ruby Tuesdays, which seems to be very popular, especially if you want to watch sport / soaps, etc. There are loads of bars dotted around the resort - maybe someone else can give you more suggestions - there are lots of bars down in PN but we don't often go down there in the evening. There are bars along the beach, both in PN and Magaluf, where you can sit and watch the world go by. Let me know if you need any more info and I will try and answer where I can.

We are going to Palma Nova on 31st Aug for the first time. I went to Magaluf 10 years ago so chose here then I have a choice of the madness of magaluf (if my old body will take it) or the calmer Palma Nova. :)

PS Are there any bars that play Indie music there?

we plan to spend our days on the beach rather than the pool. are there snackbars on the matias beach or the prom?.

There are quite a few bars next to the beach (not quite on it ) the proms between them. Quite a few of them also do take away food.
