Hi all

Went to benidorm the 14th july till the 28th july had 2 wks of sunshine. Left glasgow on the 14th july speedy boarding with easy jet well worth it flights on time arrived at alicante straight to A2B transfer desk to be told bus was waiting on me. When i got outside it was a mini bus 1 girl going to don pancho hotel and myself and hubby to ambassador hotel great start .

Arrived at ambassador hotel straight to our pool view room fridge to hire was 30 euros for 2wks pool view 56 euros for 2 wks room was great a bit noisey at weekends .

Hotel as ive said many a time is great for everything but to be honest the food is a hit n miss still could be doing with a few more choices but always something to suit everyone taste.

Hotel staff work very hard our cleaner was very nice asked for extra pillows as soon as we arrived and she brought them straight in room was well kept .Bar staff are just the best always chatty and good for a laugh restaurant staff well some of them dont kow how to smile at all but manager in resaurant makes everyone very welcome..Now reception staff antonio in ambassador 1 hes the best again the rest have no time for clients cant be botherd ambassador 2 well lets say they arent interested at all and ive been going here for 15 yrs 3/4 times per year so lets say i know them all .

Spa staff very nice 5 euros for 2 hours if you stay in ambassador or presidente hotel .

Hotel entertainment was ok a few good acts tine turner,bee gees , rose peters ,neil diamond as for the rest i was out every nite so just heard a few .

Now we had 2 other family in ambassador 2 for 1 week 6 in torremar apartments for 10 nights and 4 in vina del mar apartments for 10 nites and 3 in presidente all loved there apartments and the others loved presidente the 2 in ambassador 2 had perfume taken from the room ..When going to rep and reception to complain no one wanted to know but they told them if it wasnt put back the next day when they came back from the beach they wanted the police and sure and behold it was back and put in a drawer .

Entertainment

Saw tony scott...dangerous brian ,temptations.riki stevens ,robbie williams a few still doing same acts but a good nite out .

Eating out

Marianos chicken a must ,Then back another nite for chicken curry great no complaints

Foodland was ok steak and chips salad

Four kings ..pizza it was nice very thin and crispy

La brasa It wins hands down again twice we had steaks and 3rd time i tried lasagne with garlic bread and what can i say 10 / 10 again great service .

Now for the bit you all hate but its got to be said not out of badness but just so other people know .

Yes the pick pockets are still there 3 same girls a did try to get there picture but they know me as ive stopped so many ppl from having there pockets and bags dipped .

Now there is another 3 working together these 3 ive never saw before in all the years ive been going so just be very very careful i didnt see them all week only friday saturdays and sundays ..The pea men are still around but just stay away . My son got a irish ladys bag back for her up the yellow brick road she was screaming he stuck his leg out and tripped the guy up and gave him a few home truths .

Then at uncle peds at the back of ambassador hotel he ran after one of the gypsies who stole a ladys bag from her wheelchair so all im saying is we know it happens in every other resort but BE AWARE.

What a great crowd we had a laugh a few drinks and some are meeting up again in september when we return so looking forward to seeing you all again..

Im back in 6 wks time as ive said before its got its good points and bad points more good than bad.

This time im trying the helios as i got it for a great price but ive booked ambassador for next summer but now thinking of changeing it to calypso hotel .

Transfers home this morning picked up on time flight was delayed 10 mins but was made up landed on time glad i did speedy boarding as airport was very busy . HAPPY HOLIDAY TO ALL STILL TO GO ...Mazza
