hi chelsea, might i suggest, with the greatest respect and no offence intended, you may be better off going to ibiza or somewhere like that where you can get in a club and be served alkyhol even if you is a toddler. malta isnt really for clubbing drinky drink teenagers. its a place for (mostly) mature holidaymakers and all the youngsters i have ever met who went on holiday to malta complained it was boring, for old farts, etc. etc.
In 2009 the legal drinking age was raised up from 16 to 17 in Malta, if you look particularly young you may be asked for proof of ID, a photocopy of your passport usually suffices or if you have a driving license that will do.
Paceville (pronounced Patchy Ville] has plenty of pubs / clubs to keep you happy for a week or two so no problem there, if you are anywhere else on the island it will be very quiet and boring, St Julian's although only a couple of streets away is much more sedate and mature than Paceville.
Prices are still a good bit cheaper than back here in the UK.
This is a typical price list from one of the bars in Paceville http://www.footloosemalta.com/index2.html
Also take a look at this for a lot more info about Paceville http://www.visitpaceville.com/index.php
Go and enjoy Graham
