hey there im new to h/t and have a few questions to ask about egypt
im travelling on boxing day and just wondering what the weather is like at this time of year and if there is the same amount of activities to do during the day and at night time
any feed bk is much appreciated thank you

The weather at that time of year is very pleasent, warm during the day but it will be cooler at night so you will need a cardigan / jumper in the evening.
Where in Egypt are you going? If it is Sharm that is a year round resort and everything will be open as normal however most entertainment is hotel based and the activities will be based on occupancy demand.

Hi Nessie, I was in Sharm this Christmas and the weather was lovely, about 26c. The sun does go down early, about 4.00pm but it is warm first thing, so we would be up early to make the most of it.Have a great trip.
They have all the decorations up in and around the hotels, so a real christmassy feel but the warmth of Egypt. I know where i would rather be

very good kiltman, i mean which is the best egyptian beer to drink??
I knew that.Stella (different from Stella Artois) is probably the best know and is very good, there is also Luxor which is OK but not widely available in Sharm if at all, you will also find Meister which is just like any European beer also good old Carlsberg, my favourite Egyptian beer is Sakara Gold.

We fly out to the Tiran Island Hotel on 4th Jan for a week. There are mainly positive reviews on Trip Advisor unfortunately none on Holiday Truths as yet. Seems ages away but if you get back before we go will look forward to hearing from you and hope it will be all good.

to HT we are just back a week ago and the beer was very nice indeed it was stella and Carlsberg, that we were drinking it was fine come to think of it I could go one right now .......colleen

Sorry to say we will still be there on the 4th sunshine, fly home on the 9th

And thn theres always the funny b u g g e r whos jelious because i will be in the sun this xmas and he will be round the table with oor aggie eatin xmas dinner, isnt tht right daddy bluenose

aye you enjoy son. I met colleen last year in Goa. good lass, probabaly see her next year. You enjoy Egypt son, i will have a wee singsong with your gran !
