The only airline flying out of the northwest (Manchester) to Sicily is Thomson but unfortunately their flights end on the 31st October.

You could go Manchester - Catania with Lufthansa for £240 (return, all in, includes snacks) in November. And if you use Paypal they knock 4 quid off!! The Catania times may not be convenient and there is a bit of hanging around at Frankfurt on the way out.
thanks steve8482......thats better than I found....the others were 2 stops.....having to mess about at another airport is as bad as having to travel to london.......there are other complications rearing their heads at the moment as well....and we may now not be going.....thanks again steve....tweetie
